Challenge
A global sportswear brand entered the U.S. market with low awareness and a DTC business concentrated in basketball footwear. In 2025, website traffic grew 8.07% and conversion stood at 0.68%, limiting growth beyond the brand's core basketball audience. Expansion into Europe added a second challenge: more than 60% of website traffic came from paid media, while stockouts, long sample preparation cycles, and fulfillment coordination slowed commercial execution.
Solution
Fastlane built and operated the U.S. DTC commerce platform and connected ecommerce operations with the brand's existing inventory, warehousing, and fulfillment systems. We added local payment infrastructure, payment risk controls, and anti-scalping measures for limited product releases. Paid media, SEO, affiliate marketing, and owned-channel lifecycle programmes broadened customer acquisition beyond paid advertising and re-engaged existing customers.
We also expanded the product strategy beyond basketball. Lifestyle footwear and running became additional growth categories, with lifestyle footwear reaching 20% of sales. Core product lines represented approximately 80% of the product mix, while secondary lines focused on increasing sales volume.
Fastlane extended the DTC operation from the U.S. into Europe and Southeast Asia, covering ecommerce operations, fulfillment, payments, and local growth channels. The regional expansion used the same operating infrastructure while adapting execution to each market.
